Hi, welcome to Pynewood Studio, the gallery for work by me, Tamsin Pyne. You will find images of a variety of art forms including acrylic canvas paintings, body and face painting, editorial make-up work, wedding hair and make-up and the odd bit of costume making!

I am not currently selling my work, but if I know you, and can manage what you are asking for then I'll do it!

I have experimented with many different forms of art both professionally and personally and am currently in a 'painting acrylics onto canvas' phase. This is far more popular with my friends and family than the body painting I have done as it doesn't involve them standing near-naked for up to six hours!

All my pictures are recreations, mainly from greetings cards that I see and like. Many of my friends will buy a card send it to me and ask to have it painted onto canvas as a present or for themselves. This is a useful method of managing people's expectations!

I'm drawn to bold, colourful art and my current favourites include....Banksy for the statements he makes - noted favourite the Beach Boys of Bethlehem wall art. Damien Hirst for the sheer exuberance, noted favourite is Diamond Skull - currently recreating it myself (but not to sell on for £50 mill!). Titian for the skill, especially in The Worship of Venus, the Bacchanal and Bacchus and Ariadne. Seurat for his innovative methods with dots, especially Bathers at Asnieres.

I don't profess to know much about technique or indeed art history, I just know what I like! Happy viewing!
